RN TRIAGE/OFFICE NURSE  - FLOAT POOL
ELMHURST PHYSICIAN PRACTICE DIVISION
Part-Time
 (varied schedule)

***This position receives an extra float differential.   

Under the direction of the Supervisor, Clinical Staff provides high quality nursing care for patients as identified by the standards of Nursing Practice and the Illinois State Nurse Practice Act. 

Responsibilities include: phone triage, patient advocate, patient education, immunizations, injections, nebulizer treatments, assist with department specific procedures, and point of care testing.  Additional responsibilities include assisting with specialty procedures for the department, such as spirometry, skin testing, EKG’s and patient education on devices.  Will also prep patients (room patients), complete patient refills, physical forms, start referrals, and medication forms.

In this position, you must be able to travel to all locations:  Elmhurst (All sites), Addison, Oak Park, Lombard, Hinsdale.  

Qualifications:

•             Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.  Current Illinois RN licensure required.  

•             2-4 years of experience working in specialty departments as indicated above

•             Communicate clearly in English - written/oral; second language desirable (Spanish preferred)

•             Annual CPR certification (C-level)

•             Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and carry/push up to 20 lbs.

•             Flexible to scheduling changes including overtime and Saturday hours

RN TRIAGE OFFICE NURSE PODIATRY/ORTHOPEDICS ELMHURST PHYSICIAN PRACTICE DIVISION Full-time, DAYs Location: This position will travel between Center for Health (Elmhurst), Lombard, Addison, and Naperville. This office has 10 providers. Hours are variable to include early mornings and evenings. Must be flexible. 2 Saturdays/rotation per month. Under the direction of the Supervisor, RN TRIAGE OFFICE NURSE provides high quality nursing care for patients as identified by the standards of Nursing Practice and the Illinois State Nurse Practice Act. Duties include: phone triage, rooming patients, set up and assist the doctors with procedures, surgery scheduling, insurance pre-authorization and referrals, clean and stock exam rooms. QUALIFICATIONS: BSN preferred, Current Illinois RN license and Current CPR for Healthcare Providers required Office RN experience, preferred Prior work experience in a Podiatry/Orthopedics setting, highly preferred Experience in Wound Care preferred Bilingual Spanish preferred Self-starter, able to handle periods of high stress Prolonged periods of standing/walking/sitting/bending/reaching/climbing and repetitive use of hands Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and carry/push up to 20 lbs.
