Question 2 -Sort of Easy
Christians often give excuses for not sharing their faith with unbelievers. Name three of these excuses as found in the third chapter of Always an Excuse.

Answer to Question 2
I lack education, or
I have an inability to express myself, or
I have awkward feelings. |
Question 3 - Kind of Tricky
The Christian’s real fight is against “hordes of unbelieving people.” True or False?
Answer to Question 3
False, the answer is in the book of Ephesians chapter 6, verse 12:
For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms.
Paragraph 5 in the chapter Receiving Orders summarizes the above Scripture:
In the Christian life there is a battle continuously being fought with the forces of evil. But Christians are never to fight this battle under their own power. They engage the enemy, relying on the strength and power of Jesus Christ, the One in whom they place their trust.

Question 4 - Tough, but Real
What is the Biblical role of the church in sharing faith?
Answer to Question 4

The answer to question 4 is seen in paragraph 6 of the chapter Receiving Orders :
The church is to encourage believers to share Christ with an unbelieving world. All believers, including church leaders, are responsible to share their faith with others. By preparing people to fulfill their responsibility to share the Good News with others, the church acts as a motivator.

Question 5 - Oh, be careful!
You feel God's presence in your life, and you know you love Him. Because you feel this way, you believe your feeling of love will never allow you to lose fellowship with God. True or False?
Answer to Question 5
Usually false, since feelings often change. In the 12th paragraph of the chapter, God's Solution to Sin, feelings are seen as fickle; they change like the blowing wind. Your feelings instead must be interpreted in light of the steadfast and true promises of God:
Never place your trust in your feelings, because your feelings are subject to change. Trust instead in the promises of God revealed in His written Word. I Peter Chapter 1, verses 24-25 reads, . . . The grass withers, and its flower falls away, but the Word of the Lord endures forever.

Question 6 - A Real Danger
What is the danger of laying up for yourself treasures on earth?
Answer to Question 6
In Paragraph 13 of the chapter, God's Solution to Sin, we find the answer. In the book of Matthew chapter 6, verse 19, we read, "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth...." Luke chapter 12, verse 34, tells us why, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
|
Question 7 - Clear-Cut
Under what circumstances are Christians free from their responsibility to share their faith with others?
Answer to Question 7
By death only. Only physical death frees a believer from the responsibility of sharing his faith with unbelievers as seen in “Receiving Orders”, paragraph 3.
|
Question 8 - Straight-forward
Ignoring the right thing to do is sin. True or False?
Answer to Question 8
True, it is sin. The Bible reads in James 4:17:
Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.

Question 9 - Every Day Life
What does it mean to be desensitized to opportunities of sharing your faith?
Answer to Question 9
The third paragraph in Always an Excuse reads, "We know as believers that we should share our faith with others." But is this a priority in your life? It’s easy for our life-focus to shift to daily activities such as working, grocery shopping, cooking, child care, watching TV, doctor appointments, transportation, social visits, to name just a few.
Are chance encounters ignored as we find ourselves desensitized to the eternal destiny of others? Needless to say, time does not reverse itself, and opportunities such as these are often lost forever. |
Question 10 - Very Subtle
How does the “tyranny of the urgent” interfere with sharing faith daily?
Answer to Question 10
As we see in the fourth paragraph of Always an Excuse, excuses inevitably are fueled by the “tyranny of the urgent.” We tend to focus on our immediate physical needs to the exclusion of the physical and spiritual needs of others.
Sadly, we’ve reversed the very order of importance given to us by the Lord. We put ourselves first while placing the physical and spiritual needs of others last. |
Question 11 - Good Memory!
Why does God allow you to sin, that is, to deviate from His perfect standards?
Answer to Question 11
As seen in Always an Excuse, paragraph 9,
God always accomplishes His will, but sometimes allows the sinful actions of men to ultimately fulfill His holy purposes.
|
Question 12 - Basic to Everyone
What is the gift that God has offered to every person?
Answer to Question 12
The gift of salvation is seen from the Bible throughout the website and is clearly seen in chapter 4 of God’s Solution to Sin and chapter 9 . To be saved, you must personally believe that Jesus died for you, taking on or bearing your sins. You must believe He died, was buried and then rose from the dead. Admit, Believe, Repent, and Confess. As Romans chapter 10, verse 13 says,
For whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
When you trust Him and believe His Word, you can know by faith you're saved!
|
Question 13 - The Devil's Greatest Fear!
What is the devil's greatest fear?
Answer to Question 13
As seen in the second paragraph of the web chapter, The Bible's Pathway, the devil's greatest fear is that of genuine repentance, a repentance marked by trust in the saving blood of Jesus Christ.
|
Question 14 - One of Two Spiritual Ends
What is spiritual death?
Answer to Question 14
In Paragraph 6 of the chapter God's Solution to Sin, we find the answer:
Spiritual death means a complete separation from God in the eternal blackness of hell. Yes, hell is eternal, horrible, and according to Jesus, it’s an absolute certainty for those who have not put their faith in Him.
|
Question 15 - Your Spiritual Destiny
When you die, and you will, will you go to heaven or hell?
Answer to Question 15
The Bible reads in Hebrews chapter 9, verse 27,
Just as everyone must die once and be judged.
Born unsaved, each of us will be judged by God at our death. The question then is, “Will you go to heaven or hell?” Hopefully, this website has helped you answer that personal, but eternal, question! |
